Populist Discourse Observatory

The Populist Discourse Observatory is an online platform where students, teachers and experts collect and analyse examples of populist rhetoric in EU and national politics. It turns real speeches, campaigns and social media posts into learning material for understanding how “the people”, “the elites” and “Brussels” are framed.

Built within the POPULIST-GAMEMODE Jean Monnet Module, the Observatory combines a case library, fact-checking reports and interactive, game-inspired activities. It is designed as a student-driven, faculty-guided space for critical thinking about European democracy under populist pressure.
